| Getting around in Kos |

If you are looking for the most scenic routes, you are going to want to travel by boat. There are several charters, tours, and public boat transport while you are visiting Kos. However, travelers will be hindered by time restrictions, as well as space limitations. So, if you are looking to travel by sea, you should consider booking in advance, either with your hotel, or personally calling the charter company to save a seat for you. Additionally, you are going to want to check the schedules, and make sure the charter will be visiting the places you want to visit while on your vacation (more info on Kos Attractions and Things To Do). Money Saving Tip #6 Use Travelex.com to get the best rates on your currency (better than the Post Office!). If you want a little more freedom, traveling by taxi is a great choice. But, visitors to Kos must make sure that they book well in advance, otherwise, they are going to wait very long periods of time, in order to find a taxi (more info on Car Hire in Kos). There are very few services and taxis on the island. So, depending on the time of year you visit, you may want to consider calling in advance, and booking the days you are going to need the taxi, in order to keep a better time managemetnt set, and be able to visit all the places you plan to visit. (See Kos Rental for cheap car hire) Traveling by train or bus are other popular methods. These are also restrictive as to when they leave the station, and how often they travel. If you have the option to get a car hire (rental), this is your best option. Visitors can rent a car for as little as £15 ($24/€17) per day, depending on the age of the driver, and their experience. This will allow you to travel on your time, and to exactly the destinations you want to visit. Money Saving Tip #2 Book your hotel through Booking.com and get the lowest rate for your hotel..guaranteed! Although there are several ways of getting around, depending on time restrictions, and when you are planning to visit Kos, you must plan in advance, in order to make it to all the destinations you are looking forward to visiting.
