Living in Kos
Written by Anna James | Posted in Blog Updated 20-May

Living in Kos Kos is an island town that offers residents a great and very enjoyable way of life. One of the best things about this unique place is the fact that the people who live here love to enjoy the nightlife. In fact, Kos has one of the liveliest nightlife scenes found in the entire Dodecanese. Everything can be found in Kos. There are traditional Greek-style nightclubs, cabaret shows at the hotels, unruly British pubs, techno discos, and more.

As the main beach and resort town of Kardamena, Kos Town offers fun and social opportunities for even the quietest wallflowers. Parties rage into the wee hours of the morning. Young people from all over the world come to Kos to let loose and share the best times of their lives.

Kos is not just a raucous party town. It also has many things to offer people who would like to relax in more laid back ways. For example, many enjoy restful evenings sipping sundowners and listening o the melodic Greek music that plays throughout the town. However, these relaxers should steer clear of a couple of well-known bar streetsthat could shake them out of their slumber and cause their pulses to rise to heights they can't even imagine.

Money Saving Tip #6
Use Travelex.com to get the best rates on your currency (better than the Post Office!).

These famous bar streets are Nafklirou and Daikon. They sit at the ancient agora's north edge and beckon anyone who enjoys a rollicking good time. (more info on Bars in Kos)

People can't party all the time. They need to eat and replenish their energy levels. Kos is the perfect place to do just that. There are restaurants to suit any taste or budget. The farther one gets from the harbour, the cheaper the food gets. The trendiest place for one to eat is Petrino Taverna, an elegant establishment located in scenic Plateia Theologou. This fancy place serves Greek specials and cuisine from around the globe.

The setting is almost as delicious as the morsels found within it. The eatery occupies a stone mansion that is over 100 years old and includes a terrace for outdoor dining and a gorgeous garden that overlooks the agora.

Money Saving Tip #2
Book your hotel through Booking.com and get the lowest rate for your hotel..guaranteed!

People who want to savor breathtaking views of the island as they eat should try Platanos Restaurant, which overlooks the famous Hippocrates Tree. This establishment offers Greek and international dishes that will make any mouth water until dry. The great food and wonderful harbour and town views are accompanied by live music. Kos offers a lively and beautiful way of life.
